Snowy Surprise!

What a fun surprise we had this morning when we woke up to see snow outside. Mallory was so excited to go outside and see what this white stuff was all about. She loved it!

In fact, she loved it so much, she threw a bit of a fit when she had to come inside.

I couldn't leave Will out of this post even though he did not get to play in the snow today. This picture is from last week. I love that he is smiling so much now. He hair cracks me up! It totally fits his wild personality!

Halloween

We had such a fun Halloween! Mallory is still calling herself a butterfly! Her new quote is, "I'm a butterfly, I fly to the moon!" What a funny girl!

Our little Superman
We had such a fun time at our church's Trunk or Treat. We were so glad that Mallory's sweet friend Chloe could join us!Scott took Mallory on our street to do some trick-or-treating. She now loves candy!

Pumpkin Time!

I love fall. I like the cooler weather, watching football with Scott, and pumpkins! This October has been kind of crazy for us though (Scott spent a week in Holland for work, Mallory had her tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes put in her ears, and I had a kidney stone), so we got a late start on our fall festivities this year. We haven't made it out to the super fun pumpkin patch that we took Mallory to last year, but we did go down the street to a little gardening center and pick out a couple of pumpkins tonight. Here a few pics from tonight and the rest of our October activities.
It was impossible to get any pictures of Mallory standing still tonight, this was the best I could get.
Poor Will was not as excited about pumpkin night as we all were.
Mallory painted her pumpkin when we got home.
We made pumpkin cookies while Scott was in Holland. As you can see, Mallory had lots of fun!

Everyone has to have at least one picture with their sibling in a matching outfit, right? :)

TWO!!

Mallory turned 2 last Wednesday. Wow, what a big girl! It is so much fun to see her learning new things each and every day. She is so observant and curious about everything. We had her birthday party at the little gym near our house. We had such a fun time playing with friends!

At 2 years old Mallory...

Loves...dancing, suckers, tutus, playdough, swinging at the park, play dates and baby Will.
Favorite phrases..."What is that?", "I did it!", "Snack please- I say it nicely.", "Last time", "six, seven, eight."
Favorite foods...Most any fruit, pickles, cheese, pizza, granola bars and cheetos
Favorite places to go...the park, Nana's house, Target, friends' houses and the swimming pool
Favorite toys...her baby dolls, pink car, flash light, play kitchen and magnadoodle

Mallory, you are such a sweet little girl. Every day with you is an exciting adventure. You are constantly making us laugh. Your curiosity is so fun to watch. You understand so much now and have so many questions. You have a sensitive heart and you love you family and friends. We could not have asked for a more wonderful daughter. We love you so much Mal!

Sleep Study

Last night we took Mallory to the pediatric sleep institute. Our ENT sent us there to see if Mallory has sleep apnea. If she does, we will be getting her tonsils and adenoids removed soon. We will find out the results in the next week or so.
We were so nervous about how the night would go. We pictured her crying and ripping off the electrodes. I figured I would have to sleep with her the whole night. We were so pleasantly surprised. She did AWESOME! She did not remove any of the wires and slept in a "big girl" bed the whole night by herself! We were so proud of her. Here are a few pictures from last night.

We read a few books while she was getting hooked up.

She was so proud of her "stickies"
Ready for bed!

One Month

Well, one month and a week. I'm a little behind on my blogging, but here are few pictures of Will at one month.
On a side note, we just finally chose our new stroller. We got the Babytrend Sit N Stand Plus. We all love it!

Will's Birth Day

I can't believe our sweet little Will is one week old today! Today was actually my due date, but I was induced one week early. We went to the hospital last Tuesday at 5:30 a.m. My doctor broke my water about 7:45. I'm not sure what time I got my epidural, but I remember being very happy afterwards :). Things seemed to progress somewhat slowly since they were having trouble keeping my blood pressure up and Will's heart rate was dipping with contractions. Once both issues were under control, they upped my pitocin and things moved rather quickly. He was born at 2:45 p.m. in one contraction. It is so amazing to see your tiny baby for the first time. We are so thankful that he is finally here and he is healthy, praise God! Mallory doesn't seem to have any interest in him at the moment. When she visited us at the hospital, she had more fun playing with the very cool curtain in our room. I'm sure that will change, but for now, she is just loving all the extra attention from her grandparents!

More pictures of Will are coming soon!

Vacation

We had such a fun time on our family vacation! We stayed at a beautiful house about 30 minutes outside San Antonio. It had it's own private pool and hot tub, awesome scenery and plenty of room for the kids to run around! We spent one day at Sea World and lots of time relaxing. It was great! Thanks for another fun vacation Maxey family :).

Scott's friend's sister works in the Shamu show at Sea World. She was so sweet to let us come back stage after the show and get our picture made with one of the whales. We got to ask questions and see them up close. It was really neat!

This was the best picture I got of Austin and Mallory together. They were both too busy to sit and get their picture made :).

We had a great week!

Happy Father's Day
